We provide premium lodging and guest service. Our wildlife habitat ranges from 75-year-old hardwood bottoms to recent hardwood cut-overs and from mature pine stands to young pine plantations & stands of natural pine/hardwood regeneration.
Many food plots ranging from 1 to 4 acres in size are placed in and around natural bedding and feeding areas. These plots serve as spring, summer, fall & winter food sources for our herd.
We also use Bilologic Deer Feed as a supplemental feed, Spring, Summer & Fall at the rate of about 3000 lbs. per week.
Deer stands include elevated enclosed “box” stands and safe, sturdy & comfortable metal ladder stands (with padded wrap-around safety/gunrest bars).
We offer a premium experience for the seasoned hunter as well as the beginner. We welcome father/son, family & corporate groups. As general rule, we limit our groups to 8 hunters per day. However, we can accommodate larger groups upon special arrangement.
We've managed this property for over 13 years for quality whitetails and are just completing our third season of lodge operation open to the public.

The Louisiana Purchase Ranch is located 43 miles southwest of Craig and 27 miles
northwest of Meeker, Colorado on Moffat County Road 57. The ranch covers units
11 and 211. Elevations are between 6,800 and 8,200 feet. OVER 7,200 ACRES OF

for a quiet family vacation or a family reunion. We have four bedrooms with
one or two double beds each. The lodge has a fully equipped kitchen so that
you may do your own cooking, if you so desire. Laundry facilities are available,
as well as central air. A large family room with pool table provides indoor
recreation, or you may choose to take leisurely walks in the timbers. Enjoy
the beauty of nature here at the lodge, or many of the attractions nearby. A
