Valley Creek Outdoors, a hunting lodge located in Selma, Alabama, offers a premium big game experience on some four thousand acres of prime timberlands surrounding Selma in the very heart of Alabama’s famous Black Belt region. The land has been managed for big, quality bucks for over ten years. We specialize in providing a quality outdoor experience along with great southern food and hospitality second to none.

We provide premium lodging and guest service. Our wildlife habitat ranges from 75-year-old hardwood bottoms to recent hardwood cut-overs and from mature pine stands to young pine plantations & stands of natural pine/hardwood regeneration.

Many food plots ranging from 1 to 4 acres in size are placed in and around natural bedding and feeding areas. These plots serve as spring, summer, fall & winter food sources for our herd.

We also use Bilologic Deer Feed as a supplemental feed, Spring, Summer & Fall at the rate of about 3000 lbs. per week.

Deer stands include elevated enclosed “box” stands and safe, sturdy & comfortable metal ladder stands (with padded wrap-around safety/gunrest bars).

We offer a premium experience for the seasoned hunter as well as the beginner. We welcome father/son, family & corporate groups. As general rule, we limit our groups to 8 hunters per day. However, we can accommodate larger groups upon special arrangement.

We've managed this property for over 13 years for quality whitetails and are just completing our third season of lodge operation open to the public.

Fishing:
We are an Orvis Endorsed fishing lodge located near the North Platte River. The North Platte is always ranked as one of the top ten best trout > fisheries in the west. Big fish, small crowd! We provide half and full day guided trips, floats or wade fishing. We are also located near the Encampment river which is a close second to the North Platte.

There are also countless mountain lakes and streams located in just a short drive in the Medicine Bow National Forest. There is also 3 &1/2 miles of Brush Creek that flows through our property that offers excellent fishing on site.

Hunting:
We are going to start prarie dog and gopher hunting on our 6,000 acre
property. Everything is furnished except the guns and the ammunition. The
rate for this is $130 per day with guide.

We offer Mule deer hunts in some world class mule deer country. There
are been numerous 190+ Boone and Crocket deer taken from the ranch property.
These hunts go for $2,500 for a five night six day hunt. (I will have
some pictures of deer along with trout posted on our website hopefully soon).

Horseback Riding:
We have roughly 40 horses here in the summer time, allowing us to accommodate people with all different levels of riding. We offer full and half day rides for guests and non-guests alike. We have access to the Medicine Bow National Forest (which is adjacent to our property) allowing us to ride on even more ground. We have a tepee site located at the top of our property for overnight pack trips.
